<p>In a nod to tough economic times, the University of Florida's Athletic Association is cutting discretionary spending and giving more money back to the university as a whole.</p>
<p>Since 1990 the University Athletic Association has given the University of Florida about $48 million dollars to support educational programs (not counting the $6 million UF gets this year).</p>
