hey!
I switched my application to Northeastern from EA to EDII. I’m trying to get a sense of what the pool is going to look like- I know 1900 people applied EDI and 1000 got in. I’m wondering if the EDII numbers will be similar or less than this (I read somewhere that in 2020 there were only 1000 EDII applicants which makes me very hopeful) but I’m not really sure- my gut is telling me more people are going to be inclined to apply EDII. Does anyone have any insight or theories about this? Any idea of what the EDII acceptance rate will look like?
high hopes
Hey! I am not completely sure, but I will say that many schools want people who can pay and they know will accept the offer of admission, so there is a good chance there is a large group of people deferred from EA. With this, they might push the idea of EDII so they can get more people who they know will commit to the school and pay whatever they have to pay. This is what Tulane did (they literally emailed applicants the night before saying most will be deferred), and they sent many emails pushing EDII switches. You definitely have a much better chance, especially over those who get deferred EA
