Gays at certain colleges

Could anyone give any input about the gay life at any of the following colleges?

-Willamette
-USC
-Pomona (and CMC)
-Whitman
-University of Puget Sound
-Colorado College
-Denver University

I'm not necessarily looking for an atmosphere where gays dominate or anything... I just want a very accepting environment, with ample dating opportunities and everything.

When I visted Pomona I noticed a lot of signs on people's dorms' doors that said something about being a "hate-free zone" or something like that that expressed tolerance.

I agree. The Claremont schools are really gay friendly. :)

Pomona, CMC, and Colorado College are gay friendly.

I don't know much about the schools themselves but I'd hesitate on going to Colorado College. I live in Northern Colorado and the atmosphere down there is twice as bad. While the school itself is supposed to be great I wouldn't go myself because you're essentially limiting yourself to the student population alone. Exaggeration, I know, I dated a girl at another school down there, but you should be aware. Denver isn't as good a school but there's a much better scene there if thats what you're into, and people generally are much cooler with it.

Thanks a lot for the responses guys, it really helps to hear these things. Does anyone know anything about the Pacific NW schools or USC?

the PNW is awesome, can't speak much for USC other than I'd be surprised if it wasn't.

USC is fairly gay friendly, I'd think.

And I actually didn't really like the kids at UPS. They seemed a little stand-off-ish.

Whitman is accepting. UPortland is okay, but the city is very gay friendly & there's the MAX (rail) that takes you from the UP neighborhood to downtown. It's a 5-10 minute ride. Willamette is okay too...though slightly conservative by Pacific Northwest standards. It's about 40 miles south of Portland. Salem is not that cool as a city....still stuff to do though.

I think most highly ranked liberal arts schools have sizeable and active gay communities.

I'm pretty sure all of those schools are very gay friendly. Not sure about Denver U, though.

Check out Angles Webpage
Very cool website from Willamette's group.
