GED to College.

CC (JC) or local public university: I aspire to eventually go into medicine. Ideally, I would like to enroll in a pre-med school track. My local college will allow me to enroll as a student, but there is also a 4-year university nearby that better-fits pre-med credentials. The 4-year university isn’t where I’d preferably like to stay for my Bachelor’s (I live in Florida and hate the hot weather lol – otherwise, it’s a great school.) I know it may seem like I’m getting ahead of myself, but I want to prepare myself now with all of this information before it’s too late. Given my projected SAT score (and the prospect of an honors GED), will I be able to enroll in the university (FIU) immediately? Is that even a better immediate option? I don’t want to mess up my college GPA at 16-17, but I believe student housing, if available, may benefit me (living at school within the vicinity of so many resources and a library, getting away from a bad home life but nearby enough for my family to not see it as a big step of independence at such a young age). Should I just get my Associate’s at the CC/JC and take it from there in about two years? Money isn’t really a factor because I have Florida pre-paid.

There are some gaps in this because I copied it from another post, as I felt the individual questions really belong in respective topics.
projected sat score (well, psat score from last year. i haven’t yet received those from this year.): 228
