Geez

Just go on the Harvard, Yale boards…Is this primarily why those of you who are applying to the top ivies have a higher degree of interest in Brown? I’m just curious out of those who applied to Brown as well as the schools aforementioned, was Brown actually your top choice? Seems like Harvard, Yale are snob centrals…

harvard is my safety

hee hee...

Why do the boards seem snobby? I think the Yale board, especially, is pretty grounded...

In general, I don't think they're very snobby. Sure, there are some snobs, but you'll find them on this board too.

I also don't think its necessarily snobby or prestige-whoreish to apply to those top Ivies as well as Brown, if that was what you were implying.

I don't believe it to be snobby to apply to a top school, but if you visit their campuses, you will find a higher degree of stuck up noses.

I love the Yale board!! They're all so nice. :D

for me at least, the "snobbery" at top schools was a factor in choosing colleges. ok, I know it's just a stereotype, and probably doesn't apply to most students going to those schools anyway. i don't think the yale and harvard boards are snobby. i know some of the people i hate for their arrogance got into yale and harvard early, and some lovely people got in too ...... but that's just the way it is for every school, isn't it?

I agree; it seems the CC Harvard and Yale boards are filled with arrogant people. Brown is sooo LIBERAL (as compared with other ivys)!!!!!!!!!! I love the open-curriculum idea. whooooo BROWN!!! ;)
