I am applying for admission into the General Studies program this spring and wanted to start a thread for all of us antsy applicants! Creating a biographical overview in the form of an essay is really fogging my focus. Anyway I'll introduce some of my stats:

22 yrs old from California
College GPA: 3.9
H.S. GPA: 3.5
SAT: 1050 (seriously)

Also, for those who've already been admitted....did you include the recommendation forms provided with the application? What were your SAT scores? Thanks in advanced.

Haha thanks for the confidence boost alpha! I'm still pretty worried since the program is becoming more and more competitive every year. Do you mind me asking what SAT score you sent?

Yeah, I know exactly how you feel. But don't worry too much. With your college GPA, you only need to write a good essay. My SAT scores? I'll PM you.

I assume you took your SAT's in the last 4 or 5 years. Send them in, you have no choice. My score is similar and I got in, actually your GPA is higher, you will be fine as long as you have a more or less compelling reason to go to GS. i.e. I hope you did something more than work at mcdonlads or if you did you have a decent reason for it.

I hope attending CU in order to gain entrance into a top law school is a legitimate reason. Was your score lower than 1200? Rumor has it that is the minimum score recommended. I am more than willing to take their Exam if necessary. Is there anyone in particular I should email in explanation for my pitiful score? Thanks for the info!
