Earlier I sent an email to Columbia undergrad but due to "high volume of email received, they will no longer be able to reply back". Coming to the main point, I don't know about my future plans but for a long time am interested in engineering. So should i apply to their engineering school or not. If I do not get into the engineering school, would that mean that I am not accepted or what, even for general studies? I don't know how to fully explain myself but should I apply to the engineering school or just to the general school? What would be better? I feel that if I apply to the engineering I may not get in, but to the general school I may? What should I do? I know this is last minute but I need HELP!

If you have been interested in engineering for a long time, then apply to the engineering school. Don’t apply somewhere where you won’t be happy.

but isn’t harder to get accepted to the engineering school?

Not usually, the SEAS at Columbia has a higher acceptance rate than CC

yeah I think SEAS would be best for me
