<p>I've watched numerous threads devolve into nitpicking and unsourced personal opinions. What influences colleges' admissions decisions? Test scores? Extracurriculars? Essays?</p>

<p>Well, what if we're missing a large piece of the puzzle? What if colleges could purchase a service to describe neighborhoods and high schools?</p>

<p>I have no problem with using the data for outreach. Is it ever used in enrollment, though? What if you really want to attend a large, OOS college, but (unbeknownst to you) your neighborhood/high school are tagged as, "prefer small, private institutions close to home." (or vice versa) </p>

<p>Enrollment management is essentially pricing and demand management, so I would expect many colleges are using…</p>
