Geographic Location When Applying

<p>Hi all!</p>

<p>I was wondering if any of you could tell me a little bit about the factor that geographic region plays when the admissions officers are looking over an application. Specifically, I am looking into Notre Dame and come from Washington state. I looked and about 13% of their applicants are from the 'west'. Do they look at trying to balance geographic region and would this play a part (negative, positive or neutral) in my application?</p>

<p>Notre Dame has no problem drawing applicants from all 50 states and from several dozen foreign countries.</p>
