Hi, I am interested in getting a bachelor of science in geology but am limited to attend a Missouri college due to money issues. Some schools I had in mind were:
MO State University, Mizzou, Missouri S&T, or Southern Illinois University because of reduced tuition

I really don't know how to tell which one has a more solid undergrad. for bachelor of science in geology that will get me into a good grad. school later on. It's very hard to know what to look for and I can't find any rankings for Missouri since most of the top ranked schools are in the western United States. If any current or past geology undergrad/grad students or proffesional geologists have any advice on this topic it would be greatly appreciated. Especially if anyone has attended the geology program in any of these schools or any Missouri schools. I am transfering in the spring so my time to decide is running out.

Missouri and SIUC have the best programs, with a slight edge to the former. Additionally, the quality of life at both will be the highest, I think.

Missouri S&T has an okay program, but it’s really aimed at students interested in pursuing a career in the petroleum industry or engineering. Missouri State has the weakest program, but it’s decent option if you’re interested in GIS/mapping.

Rolla is the best choice if you’re interested in economic geology - oil/gas/mining. Mizzou is stronger for a more general geology background. Also, the person who leads Mizzou’s field camps is a total baller - we worked together a few years back.
