Geometry Regents June 2017

Yeah I checked the curve sheet. my teacher was awful and fresh out of college this year I have a feeling she will be fired. I realized I got the railing one wrong because the length was in feet but the height was in inches.

The one multiple choice with the AA’=BB’ made Zero sense but I felt like that was correct so I picked II,III,IV but I’m not sure

I think AA’ = BB’ was talking about sides and I’m pretty sure that would only be true if it was A/A’ = B/B’
Bc i assigned numbers and it didn’t work

I didn’t know if it was asking for the points because there was no line above AA’ so it was like multiply and I wasn’t sure if you had to turn it in to a proportion

Does anyone know how to do the last one or the one about the metal railing

Turns out the metal railing’s length was in feet and height was in inches. Guess who didn’t convert…
This guy

Pretty much no one converted, like the test was hard enough it was pretty unnecessary to do that

oh I totally didn’t convert. what about the airplane question. how did u do it?

it was supposed to be two tangents, then subtract
then to find the mph get your answer from the first part, multiply by 60, and divide by 5280
do you think ill any get credit if i did that but just used the wrong trig function

Y’all know the geometry exam was quite difficult luckily there’s a juicy curve. So don’t panic too much

You guys aren’t reading the curve right. A 58 doesn’t round up to an 80. It means 58/86= 80%. The test is only 86 points. They are saying if you get 58 points that is a score of 80%

That’s why it says if you get a 86 it goes to an 100%. It’s because 86 points is an 86/86 or 100%

If I don’t get mastery I’m retaking it in August. I’m a very good geometry student and I don’t believe this is fair. At all

That’s still a pretty good curve though

@Fckingfailure ahh thanks for clearing things up. NYS would never do something that generous lol

@“k_atherine.h” about the multiple choice one I don’t remember do u know what the answer choices were.

@somatropin your right the government being very nice? When did that ever happen?

the gas tank one was 10.9 i forgot to add the one inch sticking out or something like that

This test was sooo much harder than the other ones

Was it 32 pi or 48 pi for the cone question?

Was the proof where you had to prove 2 sides parallel a 4 point question
