George Campbell, #3 player overall (#1 WR) in the nation for the class of 2015....

Just committed to Michigan! He stands at 6'3" (could grow another inch by the time he graduates), weighs 180 pounds and as 4.37 speed. This is as big as Jabrill Peppers and Derrick Green. Our 2015 offense could have Shane Morris at QB, Derrick Green at RB, Drake Harris and George Campbell at WR and one of the top 3 Offensive Lines in the country. Just imagine if Leonard Fournette committed!

A 5 star commit from Florida this early in the recruiting process for 2015 is quite a coup. At this point, it is safe to say that Hoke and Co. can recruit at an elite and national scale.

The only question is when these recruits will translate into Rose Bowl and national championship level results on the field. I really see 2015 as a year where the stars could align with a favorable home schedule, ND off the table and Morris (hopefully) ready to lead.

I believe the 2015 and 2016 Michigan teams will be serious national title contenders.

2015 might be a slight step back with Shane taking over as quarterback. It’s always new with a first year starter. I actually think 2014 could be a year we push for it assuming Devin stays and we can learn to play on the road. 2016 will be a very good team but again it’s that road schedule year with MSU and ohio (though by then MSU will be very depleted compared to us). 2017 could be special with the talented 2014 class becoming seniors and RS juniors, but again that’ll be Speight’s year to take over at QB unforutnately. We will have a ton of depth and talent by that point though. Overall the future is bright. Seeing Harris and Campbell flanked out wide both ways with Canteen in the slot, Butt at TE and Morris/Speight and Green (or hopefully Damien Harris/Jacques Patrick) in the backfield will be quite impressive.

And Damien Harris drops. Major recruiting weekend for us.

Wow! The #1 WR and one of the top 5 RBs both committed to Michigan. Hoke must BBQ better than anybody!

^of course… have you seen Jabba the Hoke?

Hehe! Well, either way, he is an amazing recruiter. Not only have we secured verbals from arguably the top WR and top RB in the nation for the class of 2015, but word on the street is that we are one of the leaders for Josh Rosen, arguably the #1 QB in that class. With the commitments from Campbell and Harris, our chances of landing Rosen are significantly improved!

By the way bearcats, I am in Paris this week and will be dining at Pierre Gagnaire tomorrow. I will let yo know how it goes! ;)

Rosen’s almost definitely staying in California. Probably Stanford or USC. But we are one of the leaders for five star Cali quarterback Kevin Dillman, and there’s a lot of 2015 QB’s out there we’ve been looking at. It’ll be interesting to see what direction we go there.

Word is 2015 CB Shaun Crawford (#9 CB, 92 overall) could be dropping for us some time soon as well.

The 2015 class seems to be filling up pretty fast. We already have 4 with Campbell, Harris, Jon Runyan Jr, and the kicker whose name I can’t remember. That class will be pretty small, probably only around 13-15 at most.

Some other top guys we’re looking at for that class:

1 OLB/DE Jashon Cornell

6 OLB Justin Hilliard

4 OT Sterling Jenkins

8 DT Hjalte Froholdt

10 CB/WR Brian Cole

11 OT Joshua Alabi

10 TE Tyrone Wheatley Jr.

15 RB Jaques Patrick

15 ATH Osa Masina

Things seem to be trending positively for Cornell, Hilliard, Jenkins, Alabi, Patrick, Wheatley, and Cole. Haven’t heard much regarding Froholdt, besides the fact he’ll be back home in Denmark all of next year.

A key will be the UTL Notre Dame game in September. Cornell, Hilliard, and Jenkins are scheduled to visit, as well as remaining 2014 targets like Hand, Juju, and Nicholson.

Crawford is more of a when then an if at this point. No secret that he grew up a Michigan fan and we are his big leader.

This is getting ridiculous. Now Leonard Fournette wants to make an official visit to Michigan. The #1 RB for the class of 2013 (Derrick Green), arguably the #1 RB for the class of 2015 (Damien Harris) and now potentially the #1 RB for the class of 2014. All big bruising backs perfectly suited for the Big 10.

[Report: No. 1 RB Leonard Fournette to make official visit to Michigan | MLive.com](Report: No. 1 RB Leonard Fournette to make official visit to Michigan - mlive.com)

^ Yes, it’s exciting that Fournette is planning to visit and I hope he does the right thing and commits to Michigan, but I’m not holding my breath just yet. He’s also got official visits coming up to Florida, Alabama, and USC, and many people think home-state LSU still has the inside track. But it’s a testament to how far Michigan has come under Brady Hoke that we’re in Fournette’s final five. And with or without Fournette, we’ve got an exciting group of RBs in the pipeline, along with 4- and 5-star talent at every position.

In other RB news, Brady Hoke said today that Fitz Toussaint is “100%” and ready to go full speed in practice, Great to hear. Should be a great competition between Fitz and freshman Derrick Green, with Drake Johnson, Justice Hayes, and Devion Smith somewhere in the mix. Haven’t heard too much about Thomas Rawls after a disappointing end to last season.

I agree bclintonk. It seems almost unthinkable that Fournette would commit. Three #1 RBs in the same team would simply be indecent! Think about though, each RB could be given 20 carries per game, which means 60 carries per game with well rested, highly talented, top rated, 220 LBS RB! We could top the 4,000 yards of rushing offense in 2015 and 2016 (if Green stays all four years).

Seriously though, as you said, just the fact that Fournette is using up one of his five official visits to Michigan speaks volumes of the job Hoke is doing. He will likely end up at Alabama or LSU, but I honestly think that the recent commitments by guys like Derrick Green, Shane Morris, Jabrill Peppers, Drake Harris, George Campbell and now Damien Harris, plus our having recruited a dozen top rated OLmen in the last 3 years, actually enhances our chances of landing Fournette. Should Da’Shawn Hand and Jashon Cornell commit in the next 4 months, I could see Fournette seriously considering joining the team. We could be looking at an Alabama-type run with this sort of talent.

I played against Jabrill Peppers

I played against Jabrill Peppers last year, that kid is absurd. A solid snag for the Wolverines

Alabama’s had multiple NFL-bound RBs at the same time, why can’t we? ;)

Let us hope so MasculistMan. A lot can go wrong (injury, discipline, wrong system etc…), but he seems like a great catch.

SoccerWolfP, I agree…and Michigan loves to run the ball.
