George School & Westtown Friends

<p>I have been reading the posts here and realize most people want to talk about the top 15 or so Prep schools BUT...
does any one want to give me any personal feedback about George School (Newtown, Pennsylvania) or Westtown Friends (Westtown, Pennsylvania)?</p>

<p>I loved both campuses and found the atmosphere at both to be very warm and inviting. I want my daughter to attend school close enough to home that we can visit for performances and games. These schools aren't as highly perceived as some others on this forum, but as the nearest boarding schools to us, we are interested.</p>

<p>Daughter is a top grades/ top test scores kind of person. Does anyone have any advice about going to BSs that aren't as selective?</p>

<p>I have only visited George School so can't comment on Westtown Friends. For a while there was an admissions rep from Westtown who was a regular poster. Try a search and see what you find. We quite liked George. It was a warm and friendly environment. The campus was lovely. In the end my daughter decided on another school. Since then George's endowment has grown significantly due to a huge gift they received.</p>
