i want to go to george washington majoring in international relations concentrating on global health, and minoring in music performance. i'm still iffy if i will be doing early decision there. but what i need right now are safetys and matches..and i'm not even going to bother applying to a reach.

DS and I toured GWU and he applied there. Was accepted, ended up choosing NEU. One comment about GWU..it is EXPENSIVE and I have not seen a lot of financial aid. If this might be a concern for you, you may want to rethink the ED part...if it isn't, go for it.
for other schools I'm sure you will see lots of posts, if not go to collegeboard and go through their search procedure. If you put in very targeted information ie major, etc. (which you seem to have) it will give you some good options

yeah i'm not getting any need based scholerships since my siblings didn't recieve much either.

oh i have northeastern on my list of colleges as well :)

um i added nyu as my sister is an alum in the undergrad honors program on a huge scholership. and i hear it has a good program in international relations.

bump bump.

please i need some input :)

George Washington University has solid programs, and not just in International Relations. So don't be concerned about it's quality. Take a visit to see if you'd be comfortable on such a compact campus. Also, you'll feel at home because of the significant amount of New Yorkers among the student population.

american would be a nice safety for you

ditto re: American. We visited both GWU and American...the campus atmosphere is very different, go see them both, take the tour, etc.

okay i made a college list..can you tell me if anything is bad with it? i need some more ir-focused schools though.

1) Georgetown-(nursing and health sciences)- i guess i am applying to a reach
2) George Washington (elliot)
3) NYU (the turn off is that you apply end of fresh/beginging of soph year)

and then i don't rank the schools lol but the other schools i'm considering
-american
-boston university
-drexel
-hofstra
-northeastern
-stony brook
-umass amherst
-villanova

so that's why i need some more schools that are strong in international relations. thanks.

BUMP :( i neeed help you guys

I think you have a pretty good list. I just wanted to know why you're interested in IR and appyling to Georgetown, but not to the School of Foreign Service?

well i want a career more orientated with doing work in the health field in other countries. and gtown has the perfect major for it - international health hehee
