Georgetown admissions question

So I'm going to be applying to Georgetown soon, and as I was looking over the teacher recommendation form I noticed that it says you have to have a Language teacher recommend you if you want to apply for the Language & Linguistics subdivision of the College of Arts and Sciences.
I was going to have my French teacher write my recommendation anyway, so my questions is this--

Does anyone know if the admissions rate is higher for the general College of Arts and Sciences, or do I stand a better chance with the Language and Linguistics department?
(If it helps, I took three years of French, finishing with AP this year, straight A's every year, and I am taking AP Spanish next year. My French teacher and I get along extremely well, so she is also probably going to write me an excellent recommendation).

Thanks all!

If you live anywhere near Georgetown, make an appointment and talk to a faculty member in the department you are interested in. Ask her (or him) that question. My daughter was trying to decide between the College and is it the School of Foreign Service (?) and was given great advice by a faculty member. The faculty member gave her some great tips on the whole (not just Georgetown) application process.

MD Mom, I don’t love near by, but I’m visiting soon.
Thanks for the tip!

I have this same question, missymargaux. Did you find out any information?
