Georgetown Admissions

How will Georgetown let students know whether or not they were accepted? Also, is the early action way of admission decision informing different from regular decision?

At 5 p.m. Dec 15, they will release decisons for early action and if admitted you can learn by going into your on-line account and it will tell you. For early action, the only decisions you can get are admit or deferral to regular admission; none are rejected during EA process. They also send a leter that will arrive after Dec 15 if admitted. Come April 1, the same will happen with regular admisison at 5 p.m. except decision will be admit, reject , or wait-listed.

Actually, this is somewhat incorrect. Georgetown mailed its EA decisions, with those closest to the school getting their mail Sat., and another wave a bit further off, today. They anticipate all will be in mailboxes by the 15th, and online at 5pm.
