Georgetown/BC/Northwestern/Rice?

Trying to decide between these 4. Planning to go pre-med. Location not an issue and costs about the same. Any advice/opinions?

thats a tough decision. they are all great premed tracks

I can tell you that I had a phenomenal premedical experience at Georgetown (I transferred to Georgetown from Duke, so I have a perspective on the experience at another university as well). The premedical program at Georgetown is smaller by design–it is a strong community of students with a remarkably collegial atmosphere. Georgetown premedical students benefit by having the medical center/school/hospital right on the main campus as well as close proximity and relationships with the National Institute of Health–truly endless opportunities. The premedical advising is top-notch with a phenomenal acceptance rate to medical schools (Georgetown Med. also looks very highly on Georgetown undergrads, and many of my classmates attend the medical school or used it as their back-up). With the opening of the new science center this next semester, you will also have the benefit of state-of-the-art laboratories and resources. Georgetown provides the best of all worlds–in my opinion–and transferring to Georgetown was the best decision I’ve ever made!

^^ I agree with what medman says about the new science building and the opportunities in the Washington area. Our S was accepted at both NW and GU and attended the admitted student days at both. Based on the pre-application visits from the prior summer he was leaning towards NW. After the admitted weekends, he swung 180 degrees and declared GU as the best fit and the place for him. He is finishing up his fresmman year in the College and is really enjoying it. He says it was the right decision for him.

Good luck with your decision.
