there's a chance i'm moving to dc and just in case i'm applying to gds.
i've already visited and had an interview - i thought it went well. the admissions woman seemed relatively impressed.
just want some tips on what i should put on applications/whatever and also how much of a chance i have of getting in so far.

currently attend a private quaker school - in 9th grade.
grades are good - mainly a's, a few b's, a couple c's only in participation in some classes.
best subjects are lit (writing) and french but i find pretty much all my subjects easy.
outside of school i dance (for athletics at school and ballet outside of school), guitar for 5 yrs, and apparently i have a talent for art, although haven't done much with it. also i used to be on a swim team but gds doesn't have a swim team so it seemed sort of irrelevant.
also my mom went to the school (on the website they said they pay attention to that sort of stuff.)

@Lax4545: Lol I think you’re a little confused. Georgetown PREP is all boys. Georgetown DAY is coed. Its very important to note the distinction between the two schools as they are VERY different.

@kathrynnn123: I think you have good chances. However, why not consider applying to Sidwell as well? It’s another private, coed school in the DC area and it has an excellent reputation. I suggest this school because it is Quaker, a quality your current school has as well. :)

Also, there was another thread on schools in the DC area. You may want to take a look at it just for general advice on DC area schools. Here is a like to it:

thanks! that makes me feel a little better. hah.
yeah, i looked at those threads. we’re kinda basing the move on whether we get into gds so… but thanks anyway. i really appreciate the replies.
