Georgetown EA policy?

In the Georgetown website it says the following:

Can I be denied under the Early Action program?

No, Georgetown does not deny students under our Early Action program. If a student is not admitted under EA, his or her application is automatically given a full second review during Regular Decision.

Georgetown University- Office of Undergraduate Admissions

I know that if it's on the website it must be accurate, but it makes very little sense to me. Wouldn't everyone apply to Gtown EA if there was no way they would be rejected?

It is worded a little funny on the website, but what they basically mean is that you are either accepted during Early Action or deferred to the Regular Decision pool. Some schools will just flat out deny an applicant and not send them to the RD pool. Georgetown’s EA acceptance rate is actually about 16% (as of last year). Hope this helps!
