Georgetown Law

Normally I hate these threads but I would really appreciate opinions on where I should be looking at and what I could be doing to improve my chances of getting into the Georgetown domestic/international securities law program.

I am still a junior in college so I still have sometime for improvement but not too much

I have a 3.76 GPA, hoping to bring it up to a 3.8-3.9 between this year and next year.
I've been getting around 170 on my practice LSATs, still need to bring it up a few points and will be taking the real test in June.
1 Summer of study abroad in Rome
1 Summer interning for the state department
2 semesters interning on capitol hill
1 semester interning for a prominent Washington DC lawyer
Decent EC's but nothing too impressing

(I transferred to American University my sophomore year so I'm not sure if it will matter but I transferred from a much lower ranked school and brought my GPA up quite a bit)

you look like you are on target. If you do get a 166 + LSAT and maintain the 3.76 you should at least be good to go for the part-time program (with a definite shot at full time status too).
The good thing about Georgetown is that because you can apply to both p/t and the full time program, you have a greater possibility of gaining admission with those stats.

I have heard that it is relatively easy to transfer from p/t to full time status and if you take summer courses, you will graduate with the full time class that started with you.
My kid is also planning to apply to both the p/t and f/t program. So hopefully my info is accurate.
