I'm really intent on a strong international studies program and initially was convinced to attend Georgetown SFS. I've since been drawn to having a more rounded education and Columbia with its Core really appeals too. I can craft an IS curriculum by combining Pol. Sci, History, Languages. I'm definitely left-leaning politically and GT seems a bit starchy.
Really torn, admitted to both, and still on Princeton and Harvard waitlists. Any advice?

I am having a similar debate, whether to jump right into my program or get a well rounded education first- my suggestion is if you are positive you know what you want to do and you are very eager to get right into it then go to Georgetown- if not, Columbia.

If you have your mind set on “Foreign” or 'Politics" or “Wall Street”, SFS is the place. If not, columbia might have more programs to offer.

What’s your final decision?
