Hi! I'm applying to Georgetown School of Foreign Service, but I have a question on the essay. I know that each essay should tell admissions something about you, but should all essays (even the global issue quesiton) be related somehow.. aka have a common tie? I lived abroad in China and it really changed my outlook on things, but I'm writing about that experience as a personal essay. Does it make sense to write about a topic relating to China for my global world issue, or is it better to be more versatile and talk about an issue that relates to a different part of me?
Thanks!

bump…i know it’s a year old, but i have the same question…i also used the essay to tell something more about me…am i supposed to be writing a research paper essentially or am I actually writing a personal essay?
