Georgetown University Chances??

Hi, I am currently a senior and I am considering on applying to Georgetown SFS RD for the fall of 2018. I am considering on majoring in Regional and Comparative Studies.

GPA: 3.57 UW, 3.83 W (Senior Year First Quarter: 4.09 W GPA and I’m not sure how that factors into my cumulative)
SAT: 1440 out of 1600
SAT II: None
High School: Pretty competitive, one of the top high schools in NJ (only ranked below vocational schools)

SAT Sub-Scores: 740 math, 700 reading and writing

you AP scores are very low… i probably wouldn’t include them in your application because you only need 70% on those exams to get a 5, so many kids applying will have them. Do you also have any non music related extracurriculars?? they want well-rounded students so unless you play at carnegie hall every month play a lot of music won’t get you in

and by extracurriculars i mean not just language clubs or an author fan club at school because often times those are low maintenance clubs… do you do debate, volunteer for habitat for humanity, play on sports teams?

@jbrad2868 the thing is, i spend my entire Saturday every week during the school year in Philadelphia playing in an orchestra and chamber groups. since many clubs all have events on Saturday, i am unable to join due to my orchestra committment. I am planning on mentioning that a little in my essays.
