Has GU announced a accepted students weekend for the Early Action admittees? My daughter is on a gap year for the class of 2022 and may attend. Thanks.
Hey everyone- Wondering if anyone else has been through the ordeal that I have. I applied to GU early action, but I still hadn’t heard back on December 18, so I called and they said that a glitch in their system had put me as a regular decision applicant. However, they said, they could see that I had tried to apply early action and they could get me a decision within a week. It has now been 11 days since that phone call, no letter has come, I have called the office every day and gotten no response, and I am getting desperate. Did this glitch happen for anyone else?
^ I would cut them some slack: they made a mistake, admitted it and are trying to rectify it. Why don’t you wait until the spring semester starts and call them then?

Did your financial award seem ok? Mine didn’t give me anything except a small loan and work study. My parents were expected to pay $66,000!
@cardinal4 Mine was pretty close to the net price calculator, just about what I expected.
Glad yours was close. Mine was $30,000 more than the net price calculator. They also offered me a subsidized loan which doesn’t make sense because you have to qualify financially for a subsidized loan. I’m really hoping mine is a mistake. Guess I’ll have to call on Monday.
That sounds really off, definitely call! And that is weird about the loan…

Is it possible that certain parts of the package are being added but the scholarship aren’t put in yet? They told me late February or early March
@cprzy1 It’s on the portal once you log in. @2022hoyaplease Maybe…I really have no clue. I didn’t get an email or anything so maybe once it’s final they’ll email or send via regular mail?
When I called they told me it comes via mail but it makes sense that they are adding it to the online account

Is anyone else having problems where under “student requirements” it says your parents’ tax return through IDOC is still requested? IDOC says all documents have been uploaded and processed so I’m waiting for monday to call the financial aid department to fix the issue.
I did
I called and they fixed it. I also had to send the parents Schedule C because it wasn’t included in the data retrieval tool and they needed to verify that I have a sibling also attending college
mine was 15k over the net price calculator 
We called this morning and they said that yes, we were supposed to pay $66,000 (We received no Georgetown Scholarship which doesn’t make any sense and $30,000 more than the net price calculator and $40,000 more than our EFC on FAFSA). They told us that the net price calculator is not very accurate but they are required to put it on their site. They did say that we can appeal. We shall see.
