Do you think they will send me my paper acceptance letter in the mail if I live in the UK??
I assume so. Many years ago (pre-Internet if you can believe it) my acceptance came in the mail to me in the UK.
Daughter accepted from NJ. 1560 4.4 GPA 12 APs Commended scholar. AP scholar. Lots of clubs; several internships; writing awards. She was accepted in Walsh. Her letter said the EA acceptance was 12 percent this year. I wish you all the best of luck!!
Congrats to everyone else who also got in!! I live right outside of DC (literally 30 minutes) so I also got my letter today but the portal updated at 6 : )
Does anyone have any information about how REA applicants do in the regular decision round? I thought I saw something posted, but now cannot find it.
I think I saw that they take around 10-12% of REA during RD.
Last year it was slightly above the RD acceptance rate but in the Deferral letter they said 10-12%. Would be curious if you end up falling right on the cut line if they take that into account at all? Did they release anything about the number of REA applicants??
They said over 8k
Does Georgetown Application have a resume upload option? If yes, an application without a resume might be at a disadvantage.
Congrats to all accepted. You guys are super smart and worked hard. The fruits of your labor have now come to pass. Best of luck in that awesome institution.
did anyone not submit AP scores?
For deferred applicants I assume they will be notified with RD applications on April 1 - is that correct? Does Georgetown ever release before the date they post on their site?
i did not and got accepted
Daughter got accepted. 36 act took once September 2021. 3.99 unweighted gpa, IB diploma candidate. 4 APs - score 5 on all, 3 IBs scored 7 on all. Bunch of extracurricular, no sports. Lots of hard work. Best wishes to everyone.
My 2021 DD was first deferred then received acceptance on March 26, 2021. Her deferral letter had also stated on or by April 1. (No, I didn’t have that memorized, just happened to remember that it was on a Friday of spring break, so checked the date just now). Good luck!
Thank you, Can you share your stats?
TBH, it was 2021, prime pandemic year, and she had a strong hook, so her stats wouldn’t really help. Strong student, hard-working from very rigorous independent school, but her stats would not impress you. Doing well in MSB, despite lower test scores.
Oops sorry, I thought your stats question was to me!
Daughter admitted last year EA, but son was deferred this year. 34 ACT, 3.8 GPA, 9 APs, speaks 3 languages, Brazilian/American, started/runs several businesses.
