In past years or this year? And did they ask for a waiver?
This year and past years.
Not sure what to make of it. Good luck! The Hilltop is a special place.
Did anyone already accepted receive the Hoya alert about fire on campus?
My accepted daughter gets campus updates regularly. A little premature, but at least they seem to provide communication!
Some RD applicants got the alert even though results are not out suggesting they are accepted. A little snafu on their part
I think it’s really time to drop this. To say “suggesting they are accepted,” is just such a leap and an unnecessary cause of stress for so many. I know people have suggested on the other thread that this get dropped already, it’s disappointing to see it persisting here as well. Just not helpful at all.
Totally agree. Should we do horoscopes next?
Fair enough
For the experienced with Georgetown here, can you please advise if it makes sense for a 4.2 W GPA, 1560, NMSF, several ECs with a potential to boost GPA upward in first sem to apply EA with or rather be wise and apply with RD pool? I understand EA could be deferred to RD too but is the % of acceptance from EA to RD over RD any different one way or the other? No intentions to apply ED to any others.
Depends on how much of a gpa boost. The weighted gpa isn’t helpful to deciding, at some schools a 4.2 wgpa could include a number of Bs.
What’s the unweighted gpa on a 4 pt scale, core courses only, and how much can it increase after first semester? Has your student asked their HS counselor this question? They may know best.
