@adensuleman help, were they judgy and do you know the interviewers name?
@tiredcoof what was your sat writing score mind I ask?
Also, is it true that they need to take in a percentage of Qataris?
@exvegan Mine was only 16 but GUQ waived the CWT for all applicants with essay score regardless of the score.
I think the CWT might not be taken seriously compared to other factors. It’s more like a requirement for English proficiency/ability to write in English, you meet the minimum and you pass and the admissions board would never look at the score again.
yeah true, thank youuuu and good.
Also, do you know when decisions are out, they say early April but I know people who got letters on the 16 and even 19 th of April. One more thing, Is a 22 in act good? Asking for a friend
Not at all, the guy who took my interview was super nice actually. He barely asked me any academic questions and talked more about what I do outside of school, my interests etc. It went good so I think no need to prepare too much.
Hey everyone! I had my interview as well. Really went well. Nothing to worry about there. Just be yourself!
Do they release decisions earlier than the stated date on their website?
Hiii, what were the questions? Do you remember any? And I don’t know the exact date for decisions but by mid April everyone accepted should be notified
Most of the questions were pretty basic - why I want to study what I applied for, why Gu-Q then we talked about my personal statement and extracurriculars… Just do your research on the uni and try not to give rehearsed answers lol.
@Ibookwork116 oh no, they ask about extracurriculars and personal statements??? I might’ve like wrote stuff that I didn’t do???
@exvegan ??? don’t worry, you got this! Just be prepared to answer random questions. He might not ask you the same questions he asked me. When is your interview?
Today at 2? wish me luck guys
Done with the interview, wasn’t great…waiting for decisions now. Inshallah the best
Everyone, I’ve been told that decisions come out in batches. Not everyone receives a decision at the same time
I received an email from their admissions office before my interview took place saying my TOEFL/IELTS test scores are still required. I asked the guy interviewing me if I needed to appear for these tests but he said that I shouldn’t worry too much about test scores. What do you guys think should I give the test?
@adensuleman I think you should give the test if you can. You can take the duolingo instead of toefl or ielts, guq accepts duolingo.
Guys just a friendly question. If someone has got any friends in Texas A&M, please let me know. I came to know that their full financial aid is ‘‘full-tuition’’ and not ‘‘tuition plus accommodation plus living expenses’’.
idk if this is correct but a few of my friends at Texas told me this and said none of them got their housing covered in aid, despite their financial need.
@adensuleman did you take your act or sat? What was your English score there? If it was average then don’t worry. Georgetown accepts a 6.5 and above
regarding Texas, I really don’t know about their financial aid, I think Georgetown covers housing and maybe Cornell and Cmu
Is anybody else still waiting for their interview?
