Georgetown University Transfer - Fall 2021

Thanks for the heads up! Hope you’re getting some great acceptances so far:).

Did u get that reminder email too? Or no.

I did not receive that.

What could that mean?

I did not get that either…

Well, now I am wondering if it actually means something if not everyone got it? I would copy and paste it but it’s filled with links that they won’t allow here. It was late at night and don’t think people were sending it out that late, it had to have been sent out to people at a specific time I would guess. I applied in October. Maybe it is just going down a line of when people applied?

I had to remove links but this was the email.

Thank you for your interest in Georgetown University and for submitting both your Georgetown University Application and Supplement for transfer admission. This email serves as a reminder of any missing documents you may have still outstanding and we thank you for your timely attention to completing your application.

Please thoroughly review the checklist in your Application Portal for more information about your application materials. This email includes specific instructions for submission of various materials, should they still need to be submitted.

Please have any missing materials submitted to the Georgetown University Office of Undergraduate Admissions as soon as possible, ideally by Wednesday, April 28, 2021. Your application will be in no way hindered by the delay in receiving these materials, but it is important that we receive these application components in order to proceed with the application review process.

Submitting a Dean’s Report, Professor’s Report, and/or Transfer Secondary School Report

Please note that our preferred method of receipt is through our online application portal. If you used the Recommendation Request form on the application to input your recommenders’ names and email addresses, they will have received emails including unique links to submit your reports and supporting materials. The Recommendation Request section of your applicant portal allows you to send a reminder to your recommenders and verify that the email address you provided is correct.

If your recommender(s) are unable to submit these materials through the portal, they can download a PDF version of the appropriate report form Please have your recommender(s) submit the completed form(s), along with all required supporting documents, to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions by email to transferadmissions@georgetown.edu. The body of the email should include your full name and date of birth.

Submitting a College or University Transcript

If we have not yet received your transcript from your current/most recent college or university, please request that the registrar’s office send an official electronic copy of your transcript to If electronic submission is not possible, request that an official transcript be mailed to:

Georgetown University
Office of Undergraduate Admissions
PO Box 3796
Washington, DC 20027-3796

If you have previously placed an electronic or postal delivery request, please place a second request to ensure delivery. Receipt of transcripts will be noted in your portal within 48 hours of receipt.

If you are a first-semester college/university student, please know that the Admissions Committee will need an official record of your current courses. As such, even though spring 2021 semester grades will not be included, please request an official copy of your college/university transcript be sent to transferadmissions@georgetown.edu.

Please note: If you encounter difficulties, transfer applicants can also upload an unofficial copy of their current transcript directly to their application portal and/or send an unofficial copy to transferadmissions@georgetown.edu as a temporary placeholder to expedite Committee review.

Submitting SAT or ACT Scores

Please check your application portal to see if your standardized testing has been included with your application. If you have previously applied to Georgetown and submitted standardized testing at that time, testing will be moved to your current application.

If you have not already done so, please have your scores submitted to the Georgetown University Office of Undergraduate Admissions as soon as possible. To expedite the receipt of your standardized test scores, please do the following:
Please ensure that the PDF includes the test date(s) and your full name. We cannot accept any submission that is not a PDF score report.

  • Ensure that an official score report is being sent to Georgetown University from the College Board and/or the ACT. Alternatively, we will consider scores submitted by your secondary school counselor (or noted on your secondary school transcript) as official.

Please do not ask the testing agency to rush the scores, nor ask that a representative of the testing agency contact our office.

Please note**: If you GRADUATED HIGH SCHOOL AFTER 2016 AND HAVE NOT TAKEN THE SAT OR ACT** :

If you were intending to take first-time testing (SAT or ACT) and have been unable to do so because of COVID-19, please know that your transfer application will be fully reviewed without testing. If you have not already done so, please complete the “Application Testing Explanation” form found on your Application Portal

Please note that Georgetown does not subscribe to the College Board’s Score Choice program, in that we do require applicants who have been out of high school fewer than five years to submit standardized testing if they have taken these exams.

We hope this information is of some assistance as you complete your transfer application.

Sincerely,

Georgetown University

guys i’m pretty sure they just sent it to people with missing materials lol.

I don’t have any missing materials. It’s all checked off.

Unless they had this set up to go out before 4/20. I see they updated two of my things on 4/20 and marked them off. Maybe they pre generated this prior? That is the only thing I can think of at this point. Everything is marked, they went in to update the last 2 things on 4/20.

I received this a month ago.

Rit was regarding my SAT and ACT scores, but they told me not to submit them because it has been a very long time since I did those.

Thank u for actually sending the entire thing! And yeah I think it was pre-generated

Please remind me - is there a certain day of the week when decisions have been released in previous years? Thanks

I think the first one came out on a Tuesday but I overall there wasn’t a pattern for times and dates so I wouldn’t necessarily count on a Tuesday this year
