Georgetown University Transfer - Fall 2021

So what’s with this early read stuff? Rumors say that it can actually effect your admission chances?

typically people that have already gotten their decisions from other schools need an early read cuz the deadline to accept is coming soon. it shouldnt effect your decision if thats ur reason. if not, its best to just be patient

Anybody get their decisions tonight?

Nope

What time would they send them out?

I’m really tempted to call and ask about an early read. Do they require proof you were accepted to another college?

I called and have proof and they still told me I won’t know till May. Unsure how a person in this thread already found out they’d be denied but I called yesterday and they told me May.

Did you submit all your stuff early. I think they may review them in order so if you submitted later they may not have gotten to you yet. But tbh I have no clue.

I submitted my stuff before March 1st.

I called a few minutes ago and the admissions department is closed even though it’s within business hours…may try again tomorrow.

I somehow stumbled on a page from their website where people got accepted and found this.

I hope this is accurate and transfers don’t end up picking classes way after everyone else.

At least we’ll know by May 15!

I would assume at least like a week or so before May 15th so people have time to clear their schedules and all.

It just says registration. So I think it will be held at a later date. But hopefully we still know before this date .

It’s finals week for me during May 15th. Not sure what I would if I was accepted.

I should probably try and forget about it for the next couple weeks. I’ve checked almost every day for a month. I am just ready to know either way. I got things to plan in the fall lol.
