Georgetown vs. Claremont McKenna

Hi everyone,
I just finished my freshman year at Georgetown University. I found Georgetown to be not as diverse as I had hoped, and felt someone stuck and cramped on the city campus (I thought I wanted to be in a city after spending four years at boarding school in the middle of no where, but I was wrong). Anyway, I was accepted to Claremont McKenna as a transfer student...I've spent my whole life living on the east coast and the idea of going so far away for a school I don't know much about is terrifying to me. I am also worried because I have been told by many people that Claremont McKenna is unrecognizable and that I'd be giving up "the Georgetown name." I honestly do not care much about prestige, but I don't want to limit myself to only living in California for the rest of my life...
I want to study the intersection of Cognitive Science and Computer Science (known as symbolic systems in certain places). I thought CMC would also be a better fit for me as it has a much more techy-start up environment than Gtown which is very humanities/liberal artsy. I'm also just worried about the social life at Claremont-and leaving behind the friends I have at Gtown and being isolated from meeting anyone new!
If anyone has any advice or input it would be greatly appreciated!!!! Thank you!
