Hi all,
I'm trying to figure out which would be a better fit of the two. Any advice would be much appreciated. Also, I'm interested in studying English.
Thanks!

Have you visited both schools? They are fairly different from each other. You really cannot go wrong, but if you visit the two schools, chances are, one of them will emerge your clear favorite.

Georgetown would be a better fit.

Michigan is the better school. ;-)

Schmaltz, how do you know Georgetown would be a better fit?

^ The OP wants to become a Jesuit priest and his favorite movie is The Exorcist. That’s why.

For English, Michigan has a more renowned program.
As Alex said, both are quite different. I’d look at more factors…out of pocket cost being a significant one.

I have visited Gtown, but I have yet to visit UMich. My only concern about Michigan is whether the English classes would have the ability to be discussion-based (or if they are too big to be so). I know Georgetown is more selective, and I don’t know if this indicates higher academic rigor? I may be off in this assumption, but as I mentioned, any advice would be helpful. Has anyone taken English at Umich or Gtown?
