Georgia Tech chance

Hello everyone,
I am a senior in high school looking to apply to Georgia Tech this year. I am hoping to get some realistic feedback on my chances, also some advice on how I can improve my chances when applying. Here’s my summary :
GPA : 2.7 (unweighted)
SAT: 1510 (New SAT)
ACT: 35
AP courses: 10 , (US history, Calculus, Psychology, Government, Statistics, Macro and Micro economics, Biology, Lit, Environmental)
AP Exams : I have only taken 4 so far : APES 4 , US history 4, Government 4, and Bio 3
Intended Major: Computer Science
Nationality: First generation Ethiopian (Oromo) and first college
Clubs: I only hold one leadership position in a club (Oromo youth association) and kinda participate in a few others

I realize my GPA is lacking but I have never taken any core classes that weren’t Accelerated, gifted, or honors. Also, I plan or writing about why it is low in my application.
Also, I live in Georgia and go to a really competitive math and science school.
Thanks !

Your standardized scores are good but that GPA is really low based on the admitted class profile – 3.95 in the latest class. Writing about it in your essay – as you note – is a good idea.

Did you apply ea? What was the decision? If not, your test scores are good. However your gpa is not, and having lots of rigor doesn’t help because basically everyone applying there will. Most people who get accepted have also taken ap calc.
