***Georgia Tech Class of 2020 EA Applicant Thread***

I think that the Class of 2020 will be the first where less than 30% were admitted.

@Hermit9 What makes you say that? The increase in applications wouldn’t decrease the rate that dramatically.

Mine still says file under review and I have no announcement…did I goof

What time do the decisions come out on the 9th?

@anotherdude 12 pm! :slight_smile:

Do we get emails telling us to check a link?

@glasshours I believe that we will get a link that directly takes us to our decisions in our emais OR we will get an email telling us to check our decisions.

But based on the previous years (and what I have read), the emails should automatically take us to our decisions.

From my experience, college decisions seem to be much harder this year.

Only one week minus 1 hour to go. Applied for materials science.

This week is going to be very stressful for all of us…it is very hard to wait when you know that decisions are just a few days away…

Some students might find out Friday at school!! Admission reps are going around on Friday to hand in state students’ decisions! They r only handing out acceptance packages, not rejection/deferral packages

A way to know whether u made it or not: Check.your mailbox for a package, if u made it there will be a huge “congratulations” written on the top of the yellow package!

@Xboxgamergirl Email on 1/9 first or package first? How many schools do they visit on Friday usually? Thanks!

@sunbeams ,

  1. I'm guessing the email arrives first because mail delivery time can vary among students.
  2. They usually visit the schools from which the first 30-50 applied. But they also try to go to schools where unrepresented minors are present (high schools in downtown Atlanta for example)
  3. Also, not sure if this is true, but my friend told me that on the 9th, if u go to gtechs undergraduate office, they might be willing to give u ur decision before time.

But #3 ^^ doesn’t sound right to me…but who knows…

@Xboxgamergirl Thanks for the info. I also doubt about #3. :slight_smile:

I doubt they’ll come to my school. We’re over 3 hours South of ATL. :frowning:

Last year, they went to every school in the county I live in except for mine…even though 8 people were accepted.

I’m somewhat sure they won’t show up to my school considering that I live in California

@ifizzle321 What county?

What time zone do they release decisions?

Me too lol. I live in California!
