***Georgia Tech Class of 2020 EA Applicant Thread***

@jym626 Where did you see that posted?

Well that’s stressful. Why would they only be taking 30% in EA this year instead of 45%?

@jym626 where did you find those stats?

sobering isn’t it? I wonder what Other 5% is?

Is the average number of AP courses including senior year (current) AP classes?

Also, the average CR+Math score went down despite the overall acceptance going down–interesting.

That’s more competitive than I anticipated. Good luck to everyone. Less than 24 hours left

Sorry for the double post, but does Tech not consider SAT writing scores? That’s the only section I got an 800 in, LOL.

@SouthernHope If the amount of applicants increased by 27%, it makes sense to decrease the amount admitted. GT has two choices: deny some EA students, some RD students, or a combination of both. I’m assuming they’re choosing the latter.

15% sounds excessive, but in retrospect, it’s pretty fair. I just feel bad for those applying RD - that will be tough.

My buzzport has the 4 tabs. I’m not sure if this is because I am DE or not. Here’s hoping it’s a good omen.

I have 5 tabs

SH** my CR+M is 1500, but I’m OOS and I’m fairly sure my equivalent GPA is only 3.8

Also, what does (other: 5%) mean?

The other 5% probably means withdrawed applications or incomplete applications

Please trust that the information is reliable and valid.

My GPA is a 3.9 and sat I’d 1470! Omg, I just done wanna get denied!

@jym626 where’d u get the data?

Tech sees writing scores, but math matters the most to them

I got a mid-700 in math. Would an 800 on math II make up for that?

Honestly @jym626 I cant trust it cause you haven’t told us whre u got it from. Plus I searched it up, and there’s no news of this anywhere (couldn’t even find it on gts web page). So please tell us where u got this from, otherwise everyone-relax and treat it as a rumor.

Cause usually colleges release their stats after decisions are released

So I was doing some poking around and under the Student Services & Financial Aid tab there is a link that says Student Records. From there, I found a link that said “Anticipated Graduation Term”. In that it says “Current Anticipated Graduation Term and Date: Spring 2020 - 02-MAY-2020”

@glasshours what do you mean by ‘make up for’? A mid 700 is a good score. They don’t only accept people with perfect scores.
