@glasshours if that stat is reliable-then I really don’t know cause its just hard to say now.
Holy ****, those EA stats worry me.
@Hermit9 where did u hear about the no more super duper scoring…can u provide a link
what are the 5% other…? the only thing i can imagine is a waitlist, and that wouldn’t make much sense out of EA
The 5% other are people who get accepted (usually ED) elsewhere and rescind their applications.
Where’s the Student Records link?
@Xboxgamergirl Local GT admissions counselor told us this at a meeting. Friend also said tour guide told him the same thing. My school GC confirms as well.
To find the Anticipated Graduation Date thing. Go home–>Registrar - OSCAR–>Student Services & Financial Aid
—>Student Records—> Anticipated Graduation Date
Does being an URM and being in state significantly improve chances of being admitted?
I see the anticipated grad date as well, but I’m wondering if that’s just bc I’m in Distance Calc?
I don’t see a “student records” link when I click on the student services & fin aid tab. I’m OOS, though…
no student records link here either
@Slaystar That’s what I’m wondering too.
@glasshours I don’t see one either. Mine says:
Requirements and Eligibility
Award Letter
Loan App History
Fed Shopping Sheet
Student Authorization
@thatguy98 Yes.
xboxgamergirl. This information will likely be available when the results are released tomorrow.
@thatguy98 Not sure about “significantly” improving your chances, but it definitely helps. If you’re well under GT’s freshman profile, then don’t bank on being on being accepted simply because of your race and location.
Although a tiny bit of me wishes that there were a loophole, I think Tech did a pretty good job and made sure there wasn’t any. I applied early to Yale too (s/o to @Xboxgamergirl haha), and someone found a link that would only grant you access if you were accepted. Tons of people found out they were rejected/deferred early, and it was a mess; honestly, at this point, I’d just wait. Knowing your decision early !== good.
If I took 6 of the 8 AP classes offered at my school (two are Art and Art History), does GT take into consideration that my school only offers 8. The whole 11 average AP courses worries me, despite the fact that I can’t help it.
