My son got off waitlist at NYU Tandon School of Engineering today for Computer Science and Engineering. Waiting for Georgia Tech is much harder now.

I think UGA Honors is a great program! Your parents should be so proud of you!!
I have a daughter at an honors business program elsewhere and let me tell you, it makes a huge difference. They treat you like royalty and the opportunities are endless. She is a soph and has had no problem getting and internship both last year or this year. Even though both were remote. Her classes have no more than 30 students in them. I can’t say enough about how great it has been.

Any WL movement here? Any OOS movement for CS major?
They took 80 off last week. Mix of majors. In state and OOS. No idea if they will take more. They said they are almost full.
Thanks @VirginiaBelle for the info. We are from CA, and my son has already deposited for UMD College Park, CS. Waitlisted in a bunch of UCs and Gatech. One of the Southern CA UCs is what we desire.

Has anyone called the admissions office & any idea on when the next waitlist might come out? Or if it will?
Admitted students were given 2 business days to respond to the offer and another 2 business days to pay the commitment deposit. This means that at least 4 business days must go by (assuming no processing time) between wait list announcements. The first offer was given late Thursday therefore we most likely see an announcement this Thursday at the absolute earliest, if at all.

Seems like… but it said some more offers. So may be few not much… fingers crossed and looking for God’s plan.

anyone else got off the waitlist today?
My son received the offer too, but they send him to Metz, France, we’re going to decline the offer and going to Stevens institute of technology, it looks like they giving all the offers to in state student.

Interesting. Did he originally check that as a possibility on his application if you know (my son did not)?
Was it for summer or fall? Atlanta or France?
