Essays (rating 1-10, details): Common App- (7/10 or 8/10) talked about how I founded the school’s major tutoring clubs and how I tutored two math teachers in calculus (I thought this would attract their attention, not everyone can say they tutored math teachers in math) it really gave an insight into the type of person I am and a lifelong experience and commitment to teaching, but I guess it wasn’t the type of hook they were looking for
Why Tech- (8/10) talked about how I want to join the dance team and how i loved the experience of taking gt’s distance calculus
Unbound Future- (9/10) how tech’s diversity will expose me to new cultures and provide me an avenue to an unbound future of international interaction
Motto- (10/10) don’t let anything block you from pursuing your goals (but worded differently)
Recommendations (rating 1-10, details):
Teacher Rec #1: (10/10) APUSH teacher- I’m his favorite student and he knows me really well. I sit in his class every day during my free period and we just talk and he told me he wrote a very personal rec
Teacher Rec #2: (9/10) AP Physics teacher- I used to go into class every day in the morning and talk with him and he likes me, I don’t know how this recommendation would be like but everyone says he writes great recs
Counselor Rec: (6/10) she barely knows me and she made us all submit biographies and resumes for her to write them so I doubt it was good at all

Reflection
Strengths: everything in objective, I know my scores and my grades and my course rigor was amazing. Recs were great too and I had two internships
Weaknesses: not enough leadership. I never ran for any school office, I preferred to lead in the background (like with founding the tutoring club and being in charge of backstage at concerts), essays were probably not as creative as others’
