I was wondering which school I should pick for computer science. Georgia will cost me around 39k per year while cal poly slo will cost me 28k per year. Is it worth to pay 40k more over the course of four years for a Georgia tech degree. Will going to Georgia tech give me a much better starting job?
Probably not but it depends on where you want to live longer term. But gtech has the big time sports etc. college is a wonderful time to work hard and play hard. I think you will have to work hard at both but gtech would be a bit more fun. But that’s just one guys take. You know what will make you excited for school
Did GT give you any aid? Doesn’t it cost more than $39k per year OOS. Are you including travel costs?
Where will the 39k per year come from? Have your parents said that they’ll pay that cost?
If you are sure you want to major in CS and are sure you would not need extra time at CalPoly, GTech is a little hard to justify.
I got a 11k scholarship from them.
Congrats on the scholarship.
What are your parents saying about paying the $39k per year for GT and travel costs?
