I think this student means a free tuition award. Unless there’s some Purdue award of a free ride (tuition, room, board, books), that isnt listed and hasn’t been mentioned by a previous student.

Did you get the Trustee Scholarship?
The only full rides I’m familiar with at Purdue are the Stamps and Beering Scholarships.
Purdue is one of the best engineering schools in the country. I would go with Purdue. The have a lot of engineering options and rank highly for most of them.
