get me into wharton

Im 25 years old and going back to school next year. I grauduated from highschool and decided that i wanted to see and understand the business world before i chose to attend college. My family owns one of the largest companies in the state so naturally i worked for them. This is not your typical family business where "anything goes". I started at the very bottom and worked to my current position as director of operations. Anyways i will be going back to school next year as a true freshman and i want to transfew to Wharton after my first year. I have good grades from highschool and just took the SAT and did very well. I know what it means to come early and stay late and i am very good at what i do. I have a full knowledge of the business world and have seen our company survive through great times and also through very hard times. I know i need to have a 4.0 in order to have a chance at getting into wharton, but is there anything else i can do? I volunteer twice a month, help coach highschool basketball, own my house, and maintain a very well rounded life. I have a passion for business and i know Wharton likes to see that in their prospective students. So im just lookinf for some guidence and suggestions to help make this dream come true for me. i can handle anything and any help would be great. thank you

I think for your special case it would be best for you to submit a personal statement explaining what your situation is and why wharton is so important to you. talk about your experience in business and how you worked your way up; im sure they’ll like that.
though you said you had good grades from high school, unfortunately that probably won’t hold very well with admissions since a long time has passed. maybe you can take 3 or so courses at a local college/university and get good grades in them (possibly difficult ones) to show them how academically qualified you are despite the time gap.
best of luck to you!
