Hey guys I just made this account. I have a decent amount of free time this summer and would love to read over any essays you might have. If there are a lot of essays I might get some of my buds (also in the ivy league) to look them over!

you’re the best. if it’s okay with you, i will send my drafts to you once i get them done.

That’s nice of you to offer, and I’m always looking for people to edit, but it does seem suspicious that you created an account for this particular purpose.

@AnImpAffliction @lovethekiller I would be hesitant about this… Review the essay editing guidelines. This person could really be anyone.

I would be very reluctant to send my well-crafted essays to someone who created an account today claiming to be an Ivy League student. There are many more seasoned people here who would be willing to read essays.

@rki9a6x: Would you be willing to provide proof of Ivy League student status by PM?

Ouch, I never expected such a response. I can provide proof to anyone through PM.

Thanks, @rki9a6x. Sorry for the third degree, but I’m sure you can understand why many students would be unwilling to share their essays with strangers on the internet.

I never thought about that before. However, I am willing to prove my standing through PM if people need me to.

I mean technically, you can type anything through PM…

Students, PLEASE be wise with who you give your essay to. This person could be anyone and say anything.

@AnnieBeats: He could send a link to a picture of himself–holding proof of Ivy League student status in one hand and a piece of paper with his username in the other hand–to 1-2 prominent CC members who could then post on this thread telling everyone that he is OK.

Personally, I don’t think the OP is lying about who he is, but it never hurts to be careful.

@DiscipulusBonus I think that would defeat the purpose of being on college “confidential”. The OP is already in the Ivy League. I don’t think he or she cares THAT much

@AnnieBeats: You’re right. I’m making this way too complicated,
