Getting a good accounting job without majoring in accounting in undergrad?

Could you get into the big four, or any good accounting company if you major in poli sci in undergrad, but go to two years in a macc program?

I would imagine that if the program you are attending is recruited by B4 you could get in.

Does everyone agree with td…?

I would say so. As long as you cover the classes required for the CPA exam in your state

Yes you can, and it’s crap like this that will increase the supply of accountants.

of course you can. 2 years worth of accounting classes is the same as majoring in accounting. Generally accounting major = 2 years of primarily accounting courses.

actually you dont even to major in business to get a job in big4 advisory. a big 4 partner was telling us that they hired an english major! wierd, right?

Such ignorance in this thread.

For big 4, you will need to study and do WELL in accounting, but if you do better in econ/finance you will be good to go as well.
