Getting a job in freshmen year?

I'm entering UCI as a Freshmen in about a month or two and I'm pretty sure I'll will need some spending money. Naturally, I thought that getting a job should do the trick. However, I then came to the realization that I'm taking 4 classes (15 units) and planning to join a social frat and/or organizations. That brings me to my two questions:

Is it relatively easy to find a job through Zotlink (versus finding a job on your own)?

AND....

Do you think it is reasonably possible to maintain a paying job, while managing school work/activities (NOT to mention all the hours I'll need for studying, homework, and projects)?

Thanks, Guys!

it CAN be done. ive seen people do a normal course load, part time jobs (roughly 10 hours a week) and still socialize and what not.
a lot of people ive met who could do it were very smart and didnt need to do much studying besides the regular homework (even that was a a little excessive). ive met some friends who weren’t as naturally gifted, so now they’re a bit behind in classes and good grades.

luckly, you will not likely be in too many small classes ur frosh year- this means that you probably wont be in any group projects, mostly larger lecture classes (unless ur an art major or something).

with all due respect, whether or not YOU can do the work is a totally different question.

It would depend. Try to find a job that is largely on the weekends if possible. I worked at Disneyland the past year and it was great because I pretty only had to work weekends.
