i currently go to brookdale community college and i have a 2.84 gpa..is this good enough it get into rutgers. i just recently ended my second year, and im going into my third at brookdale to get my assoicates. but i really want to attend rutgers next fall 2011. is a 2.84 a good gpa to get into rutgers? id like to get into forensic science at rutgers.

From the little bit I know about Rutgers, it looks like a stretch.

I had a 2.0 at Purdue and a 3.56 at Johnson & Wales and got rejected from NB and Newark. Good luck

Have you looked at the information for transfer students on the Rutgers website?

Brookdale has a lot of relations with Rutgers. I doubt you will have a problem getting into Rutgers with that GPA - at least for Newark. For New Brunswick, I think it isn’t a stretch, but it won’t be easy I think they would ask for a higher GPA, probably around 3.0, but your GPA isn’t too far away.

My brother was in your same situation a few years ago, but he tried hard and got into Newark and finished with his BS just last year. Its possible, but know that you will have to work really hard for it.
