So I plan on applying to SCEA because Tulane really seems like a great place to me and is definitely one of my top choice schools, but am waiting to apply until after I visit during the first week of november so I can make my Why Tulane essay extra good and authentic and also because I’m retaking the ACT next week to raise my score… But should I instead work on getting it in early if Tulane sends out acceptance letters earlier than the December date? Will it make any difference in me getting in or merit aid (which I really need because I can’t go to Tulane w/o it and I will get minimal financial aid at best)…
No difference in merit aid. So if you want to visit first and then get your app in by Nov 15, you should be OK. Just make sure your school gets all their stuff into Tulane in the meantime. That way when you submit your portion it will then be complete.
