Getting in to engineering vs liberal arts

Looking for advice on applying for a computer science degree.

Several of the schools im looking at offer degrees in both their engineering college and their liberal arts college. I can see the admission statistics for the university as a whole, but it doesnt tell me how tough it is to get into the engineering college (vs liberal arts).

Is there some way to find this out ? Is it possible to get rejected from the college of engineering but get accepted to liberal arts ? If I am admitted to the college of liberal arts can I switch to engineering or do I need to apply again ?

You just have to check each university as to whether division or major matters in admission selectivity.

If it does, then changing division or major later likely requires applying to do so.
