Getting into Colorado College

I am wondering if I have any shot at getting into Colorado College. I have a 3.57 GPA. My high school is quite prestigious, I believe we are the Knowledge Masters national champions and hold some other highly ranked awards as well. My SAT M:650 CR and W: 510.

I was not very driven in high school but plan to work hard in college. Had straight A's this past quarter (I am trying to instill some good habits.)

My ECs include
4 years of Ice Hockey
1 year of rugby
Baseball every summer
over 200 hours of community service

I have also played the piano since I was 8 or 9, although I can't read music. I play mostly blues and rock, solely by ear. I also play in a band.

I am from Pennsylvania, and plan to major in some sort of science (as of now chemistry.) The Block Plan would defiantly benefit me, but I am open to other ideas. I am looking to go to a school that offers small class sizes where I can find a passion for learning. I also hear Colorado Springs is beautiful and I love snowboarding, so it's a win, win.

Some other schools I am looking at include
Juniata (PA)
Allegheny (PA)
Skidmore (NY)
Whitman (WA)

Let me know if you think I have a shot and I am open to other suggestions as well. I would like a school with a solid science program. Thanks in advance.

Colorado College (or Whitman) would be a long reach given your current scores. However, the only way to know for sure is to apply. Take advantage of CC’s EA option, which should give you a decision by early-mid January. If it doesn’t work out, other schools to consider include Earlham, Guilford, Lewis & Clark, Willamette, and Hendrix.
