Getting into Emory/BU?

Hey, I was wondering if those who are at Emory or BU can tell me if I have any chances?

ACT: 27 (Taking again in June and Sept.)
SAT II: Haven’t taken yet. Hopefully doing Bio and Math II
GPA: 3.68

Sports: Fencing (2 years)
EC/Others:
- NJLeep (College Access Program - 4 years)
- Constitutional debates ( 3 years)
- Internship at Prudential
- Volunteer with a rescue squad

Also, does being able to speak multiple languages help in college applications? Are there any other factors I should be aware of?

I am not at Emory or BU but have plenty of friends who attend BU and only a few that attend Emory.

You have a really good chance at BU assuming that is your unweighted GPA. For Emory, you will need a slightly higher GPA (probably a 3.75 is their average) and a much higher ACT score (31+).

What languages do you speak? If you know a unique language, then that may boost your chances.

I speak portuguese creole which is I think is unique because it’s a pidgin language. I speak portuguese as well.
