Getting into Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy (Rutgers)

I'm currently a high school sophomore and want to become a pharmacist some day. I like rutgers 6 year pharmD program and its especially convenient bc I live in NJ.

I am wondering what my chances are of getting in.

Sophomore year thus far:
PSAT 191
Honors percalc/trig
Honors chem

Planning on junior year:

Senior year:

(??? Elective or psychology?)

I have a solid gpa but are classes and future schedule challenging enough to get into rutgers pharm program? I play hockey will get 4 varsity letters, and I am going to do a little a chem team probably.
Thanks for reading and please leave any input or knowledge

I believe your academic schedule is just fine.

If you have decent ECs you might want 2150+ on the SAT or 32+ on the ACT for best chance.

Thanks.
Do sat IIs mean anything? My current math teacher is pressuring the math sat II

The Rutgers website is very opaque; the 0-6 PharmD webpage doesn’t tell a thing about SAT IIs, but the “My Rutgers Status” glossary page has a status “Official SAT II Report Required”, stating that you need three SAT II scores, so take the English SAT II, Math 2 and one science SAT II (chemistry or biology is preferred as far as 0-6 PharmD applicants are concerned) to fall within the 0-6 PharmD requirements.

Then again, if you want a 0-6 PharmD, you might want to consider URI, USP, MCPHS, ACPHS, NEU and St. John’s, but I acknowledge that these might be more costly than Rutgers.

[Best Pharmacy Programs | Top Pharmacy Schools | US News Best Grad Schools](http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-health-schools/pharmacy-rankings)

Most of the PharmDs on that page aren’t of the 0-6 variety; if you fail to get into the 0-6 will you consider attending Rutgers SAS and then try a PharmD?

I will hopefully turn to other 0-6 programs I will apply to
