<p>On October 17th, UT Austin told me that I was automatically admitted into the university (I'm in the top 5% of my class and I'm an in-state resident), but they won't tell me if I'm admitted into my major until later on. The two majors that I applied for (chemistry and nutrition, both non-honors) are in the college of natural sciences. How competitive is it to get into natural sciences? Going to UT has been a huge dream of mine and I would hate to not get into my major. I took the ACT in June and I got a 24 composite score (26 on English, 25 on math, 20 on reading, and 25 on science). I've been involved in 7 different clubs and organizations throughout high school and I have submitted pretty good essays. My unweighted GPA is about a 3.86 while my weighted is around a 3.95. But since I'm an auto-admit, will UT accept me into natural sciences?</p>
